After finishing my LAST law exam (hopefully ever) I have now almost completed all of my admission paperwork for my admission into the Legal Practice – on 12 Sept. I had my last midwife appointment yesterday before my first due date which is Fathers Day (Josh is very excited about potentially becoming a Dad on Fathers Day although that only happens in 4% of cases!). Everything is going well, bubs head is down which is what we want and Im getting very uncomfortable which apparently is also what we want

Its like a babyboom here in Ipswich, about 10 babies born this year at our church and about 6 of them within 2mnths of each other! Some people are saying Flood babies:) My nephew was born 4 weeks ago, God-son born 2 weeks ago and another friends by born 2 weeks ago too…all boys!

Back to weightlifting, I have been feeling SO much better after getting back into the gym after about a month of nothing due to my study load. I’m 8 days off bub and still enjoying twice a week at my local gym doing light upper body weights. Squats went out the window a few months back but Im loving having some biceps, triceps and traps again. I have actually felt much better from doing these upper body weights as bub plus extra weight on the front side pulls my back out. Strengthening my back has given me great relief. My abs will need a little bit of time to recover from the intense kicking regime that my little one is putting me through everyday – kicks to the front of my abs are fine but as soon as he/she gets a foot around to my side, that’s where the pain is!

I’m definitely counting down the days till our little one is born and looking forward to being able to hold a barbell in front of my body too.

Whats been happening since the London Olympics uniform outfitting? Well bub is now 30 weeks old, ten weeks till the due date. Feeling lots of kicking, this little tiger is going to be a very active baby. I have a funny feeling that this baby has my leg strength. Continue Reading
